Hello everyone,

considering the general inactivity of The Cafe in the last months, we decided that it's time to reorganize it. You can share with us your ideas and we are open to welcome anybody who would like to be part of our organizational Team!

Furthermore, we decided to eliminate the passcode. When we created it, we thought it would have been useful to reduce processing time and to guarantee more safety to the users. After about 1 year we have been able to ascertain that it isn't as useful as we expected; it is not necessary for the amount of requests we receive and moreover it created confusion among the users. This is why we won't use it anymore. So, if you received the passcode when you became a member, you don't need it anymore and it will never be required in the future to take part in our events.

Hello everyone,

considering the past language events, we decided not to organize other language courses. Most of the students were not able to take a commitment due to other their personal appointments, so lots of them did not partecipate to the classes. And this caused many organizative problems, because our volunteer teachers found themselves in a class without students, wasting their time. In case of some really interested students, we will be happy to organize newer courses, but not at the moment.

Hello everyone,

We started The Global Cafe as a means to connect students across the globle through the ways of education on language and culture. It is our mission and passion to educate students, nothing more and nothing less.

As such, we fell it is necessary to state that we are not in any way a group that assistes in immigration or migration. We will not be providing any advice, consult or services on the process of immigration or gaining legal access to a country.

We condem any use of our service, a language and culture teaching group, to immigrate, beyound learning new languages and cultures.

Conduct we will not tolerate and will be handled as appropriate to severity is as follows:

• Asking any of our members, students or teacher on the process of immigration or gaining a Green Card/Visa;

• Asking members or teachers for help in the processes of immigration;

• Proposing a marriage or relationship in order to gain access;

• Spreading any false information wrongfully regarding The Global Cafe as an immigration service.

Our group seeks to break down the barriers of language and cummunication. We hope that our members who seek to immigrate may do so legally and through the proper government channels.

We are so happy to see our group grown at the speed it has, and understabd that these small stumbles are only a mark of how much our group has grown.

To continue to make this a safe space for all members, please report to an administrator any inappropriate conduct regarding this issue. We love our students and members! Have a lovely day and remember to keep learning!

We announce that we are organizing a serie of events about history, culture and literiture of countries from all over the world. Stay updated to know the schedule! Everybody can organize a meeting about his country, so, if you want, you can! Just text us, we will organize with you :)

We are happy to announce the creation of The Global Cafe Square! It's an always-on call, that everybody can join without any schedule. It's like a "square", you enter and talk with who is there!
