As the owner and manager of The Dog Den, I left my career in education, where I taught Animal Management, to follow my passion for canine care. With extensive knowledge of animal welfare combined with the continued growth of pet ownership in the UK, I wanted to create a business that combines my passion and expertise with the needs of the local community.

My main focus is animal health and welfare, with a strong foundation in canine care and behaviour. My hands-on experience caring for many dogs has deepened my understanding of practical canine management.
I hold qualifications including Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour, Animal Communication, Animal Reiki, Pet First Aid, Canine Nutrition, Dog Grooming, and Animal Psychology. I am also certified with SEG Level 4 in Professional Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, Dog Day Care & Home Boarding, as well as SEG Level 3 in Dog Grooming & Salon Management, where I trained under award-winning groomer Amy Manser. Most recently, I completed training and certification with Emmi-Pet in their ultrasonic teeth cleaning system.
I am committed to continually developing my skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development, regularly undertaking additional courses, training, and seminars to stay current and relevant in the field of animal care.

Hi, I’m Luna, the resident dog at The Dog Den! I’m 12 years old, but I still love to run and play whenever I can—though I do enjoy my naps too!
I am The Dog Den supervisor and the official quality assessor of anything new at The Dog Den. You won’t always find me on-site, as I have an important job elsewhere. When I’m not at The Dog Den, I work as an unofficial PAT (Pets As Therapy) dog, providing cuddles and comfort to the staff at my dad’s office. But whenever I’m here, I’ll be sure to give a friendly tail wag to everyone I meet! 🐾
