Six Sea Ranch Coastal Access Public Trails spread over 7.5 miles of the northern coast of Sonoma County and offer trailhead parking areas, restrooms, and short hikes to the beaches down trails, staircases, or footpaths. Biking

The Sea Ranch roads are uniformly smooth and wide, with well-signed connecting paths that let you bike for miles without leaving the serenity and safety of the Ranch. To prevent erosion, bike riding in Sea Ranch is not allowed on the ocean bluff trail or on any trail leading to the ocean bluff. For bike rentals, contact Sea Ranch Supply.

Kayaking on the Gualala River

The Garcia river that flows between The Sea Ranch and Gualala, makes for a relaxed time. The river banks are a great spot for a picnic, soaking in the sun, a refreshing swim and any river adventure.​ Contact Adventure Rents for renting canoes and kayaks and for guided tours with/without meals. Our guests are provided with a few passes to access the Sea Ranch Recreation Centers that have swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball hoops, volleyball courts, shower facilities Don't forget to bring your swim gear and your tennis rackets. Scuba and Abalone Diving and Fishing

The Sea Ranch is a popular destination for Abalone diving. Scuba divers who indulge in cold water diving get front row seats to witness the rich marine flora and fauna. The Sea Ranch brings you endless miles of picturesque views and nature. It makes for an ideal location for those who indulge in painting and photography of nature, landscape and wildlife. Star Gazing at the Milky Way

Thanks to the low levels of light pollution, makes for an ideal location for star gazing. Whether you engage on a twilight walk, retire in the hot-tub with your special someone, or camp in the courtyard or the deck with the kids and the Google Sky app for an impromptu astronomy lesson. The Spaceweather site is a good place to check for upcoming celestial events, including flyovers of the International Space Station and other satellites

There are a number of possibilities at The Sea Ranch beaches. You can fly a kite if you want, throw sticks for your dog, or find drift wood begging to be collected. The tide pools make for several hours of exploration and food for the curious. All you need is a pair of old non-slip tennis shoes, a tide book, and the curiosity of a small child. Sea lions, deers, foxes, hares, turkeys, sea gulls, hawks, vultures... the list of wild animals and birds to be spotted at the Sea Ranch goes on. There is an equally long list of native species of wildflowers, plants, and trees that should be of interest. And if you look far off in the distance and if you are lucky, you may spot a whale or maybe an entire pod migrating north or south. The Sea Ranch Golf Links

Play Golf

Designed by Robert Muir Graves and completed in 1974, the first nine holes at The Sea Ranch Golf Links jumped onto the list of exciting and scenic golf destinations. In 1995 this “Gem of the Seaside” links was completed at 6649 yards, par 72, when Graves’ second nine was opened. The course’s blend of undulating seaside landscape with Scottish links-style architecture was a first on the West Coast. Visit their website for reservation and membership.

Equestrian Center

Equestrian Center

The Sea Ranch Equestrian Center is a location for the school of Equinology, where enthusiasts learn all things horses. It hosts a yearly Open House during Labor Day week end involving demonstrations on a number of riding disciplines, feeding of horses, games like roping a"steer", horseshoes, and bobbing for apples. Visitors learn about grooming and general horse care. Information for how to engage guided horse rides is hard to come by. Contact the school of Equinology for details.
