☆ 1.) Follow the TOS, please. For this server, all members must be 16+ for comfort.
☆ 2.) No sensitive or political topics discussed. There will be no vent channel, either - sorry! This is for the comfort of roleplayers and staff.
☆ 3.) Do not make decisions for staff or act like staff, such as making rolls. Answering questions for people is fine.
☆ 4.) There will be no NSFW memes, content, or roleplays. Slurs are not allowed, but cursing is.
☆ 5.) Please refrain from advertising.
☆ 6.) Talk about other fandoms, Warrior Cats books, etc. is allowed, but make sure you tag your spoilers!
☆ 7.) Do not use art that does not belong to you! You can use real-life images of birds and felines for references.
☆ 8.) In light of some reoccurring drama, if there is anything in the server that comes off as racist, insensitive, triggering, or otherwise unacceptable, the moderators will always welcome criticism. This applies if there is someone who engages in immoral behavior outside of the roleplay. The Clans of Noctus aims to be welcoming and safe.
☆ All parts of the form that have a checklist must be written in paragraph form.
☆ Your first accepted character must be an adult gryphon. They can not be a tyro or a cub.
☆ If applying for a character that has siblings or other NPCs you’d like to put up for adoption, do not make a sheet for the siblings or other NPCs. That’ll be covered once you join the server. (As a note, you may get an offer for your character and another submitted character to have familial/friend relations to fill in voids if I feel it’d be a good fit, but this doesn’t have to be accepted.)
☆ The character’s name must be something gryphons would know either in nature or by their own creation. It is formatted the same as the Warrior Cats novels, with the exception being -cub instead of -kit. You can also use the names of mythical creatures that appear in Noctus. If a name you choose wouldn’t work, we can easily replace it if needed.
☆ Echoing the rules above, all art on the sheet must be your own, but any decorations you put can be images you pull from the internet.
☆ While the sheet can be decorated and recolored as much as you’d like, everything must stay in the same place and all parts of the sheet must remain intact.
☆ 1.) Writers are expected to make one post for each of their characters every two weeks. We operate on a four-strike system. Please refer to activity-check for more details!
☆ 1a.) Threads must be completed by the end of either the current event or within 3 months. All events will have a completion date. If an event lasts more than 3 months, a thread that started at the beginning of it must end within the next 3 months. If an event lasts a moon, the thread must be done by the end of the moon. One two-week extension for these threads may be requested.
☆ 2.) This is a literate roleplay server. Quality is treasured over quantity, but there will be no one-liners and posts should exceed at least 5 sentences. You should have a good grasp of the English language and its grammar. All roleplay will be in the past third tense as well.
☆ 3.) Since Noctus is based upon the Warrior Cats universe, they count in moons. For simplicity, a moon passes every in-real-life month and the gathering takes place when necessary. Roleplays can take place during any day of the moon and operate on liquid-time (they do not progress in real time; they occur on the day they began). Your gryphon will age once a moon.
☆ 4.) All posts made in roleplay channels should have headers like so:
[DAY 10 | MOON | SEASON | MID-DAY | Character 1 (@Character 1 Player) & Character 2 (@Character 2 Player)]
And they end with this at the bottom of your last post:
[END | Character 1 & Character 2 | Day 10 | Moon | Season]
There can be multiple roleplays in one channel. Always tag your partner(s) at the end or beginning of your post either in a separate or the same message. The headers and footers can be decorated as you please.
☆ 5.) No OOC in roleplay channels and no open starters or roleplaying with yourself.
☆ 6.) All characters in Noctus are accounted for and played by players. There will be no NPCs and any NPCs your character has in their backstory must be either killed off or put up for adoption. This is a case-by-case basis that will be detailed more in the server.
☆ 7.) LGBTQ+ gryphons of all kinds are permitted. Mental illnesses and disabilities are accepted, as well, but some may be double checked by moderators before being implemented into a character to ensure they are being played respectfully.
☆ 8.) Homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism, and transphobia are not allowed in or out of roleplay. In regards to backstories and roleplay, there are only a few exceptions for triggering matters but you will need to bring it up with the owner, Beowulf, personally.
