The Clans of Noctus is a 16+ literate Discord roleplay server. Inspired by Warrior Cats and Guardians of Ga'hoole, Noctus puts a fantastical spin on the clans: all characters created will be gryphons. The land of Noctus is filled to the brim with 25+ species of detailed mythical creatures from various cultures, 80+ roleplay channels with descriptions and images attached, a crafting system that allows characters to make armor, weapons, and other items, new roles in the clans that encourage teamwork, and major plotlines planned for the future that will involve everyone.
Please note that this website is under construction. It will change often with lore updates, typo fixing, clarification, and other necessary edits.

Whatever month, day, and season it is in the real world, that is the month, day, and season it is in Noctus. Seasons will begin on the first day of the moon rather than later like in real life. Gryphons age one moon for every month. We operate on a liquid-time system that does not depend upon people completing their roleplays by a certain date.

If a moon is written as Moon 10 P.N., that means something happened 10 moons before Noctus's discovery. If it is written as Moon 10 A.N., that means it was 10 moons after Noctus's discovery. This is like B.C. and C.A. The clans were established during the first moon of greenleaf on Moon 0 and the search began in the third moon of leaf-bare of Moon 5 P.N.

Moon 5 P.N. - The gryphons began searching for Noctus.
Moon 0 - Noctus was discovered. The clans were established.
Moon 1 A.N. - Fenmoon discovered Andromeda and the first gathering was held. The Noctus Code was drafted.
Moon 2-60 A.N. - The clans discover many ways to craft, hunt, and fight in Noctus.
Moon 61-92 A.N. - A famine begins and worsens in Noctus. A gathering is called to discuss conservation of resources.
Moon 96-106 A.N. - Sunstar declares war with Rainstar at a gathering following a threat thanks to the famine. The Conflict of Noctus wipes hundreds of gryphons off the map.
Moon 106 A.N. to Present - The clans have recovered after the war and promised unity rather than war.
Noctus is a divided island in the center of a bay. Most gryphons hail from the North, where twolegs have spread further and further until many of the lands are uninhabitable thanks to the high price on gryphon products. The South is largely unexplored, well-known for its unsavory environments of shrublands and icy mountains. Thanks to the determination of Sun, Rain, Fen, and Sky, the discovery of Noctus quickly cemented it as a safehaven, found mostly twoleg-free thanks to the threat of creatures that gryphons easily handle.
