Our version of Shakespeare in the Park, our Shakespeare by the Shore series strives to bring the best of the works of William Shakespeare (as well as works inspired by William Shakespeare) to the outdoor areas of the North Country. Shakespeare's works were first performed outside, making theater accessible to people of all walks of life. Shakespeare by the Shore continues in that tradition, following in the footsteps of large cities and their Shakespeare in the Park performances.
There's no need for a theater, a stage, and no need to travel far to experience the human condition through theater. Actors and the production team are always available after the show to discuss the performance, the production, and everything we do. Using as few actors as possible, minimal staging, and an outdoor venue, we hope to make theatre accessible both by location and by ticket price.
