In order to be present, you have to be conscious of where you are. Where you are consists of smell, sight, listening, tasting, touching. Can you use all your senses everywhere you go?

A meditation to add a few new meditative tools to a young person's daily tool box. Participants will understand what mindful meditation is and how to use it within a school setting.

"Spring Emergence"
During this workshop, participants will focus on the metamorphosis of oneself through different relaxing, intuitive and transforming meditations, Kundalini yoga, journal writing and discussions. Participants will use their imaginations and 5 senses to emphasize their personalities with bright new energy which they can bring to their classrooms and to their students. They will be given questions to journal about which will bring new insights in what they do inside their classrooms and with their students. The goal is to have participants experience new forms of meditation and thinking processes to rid themselves of their “winter selves” and allow a new “spring being” to take over.
"BELIEVE-Positivity Changes Lives"
-A 2 day workshop based off of the TV show Ted Lasso
It is difficult at times to remain positive throughout the day, due to both professional and personal situations that can encompass one’s mind and spirit. One of the key messages that the character Ted Lasso, from the show “Ted Lasso,” has is the philosophy of the power of positivity. Ted Lasso believes that staying upbeat, as well as focusing on what you can control can make all the difference in achieving success. Through different forms of meditation practices and breathing techniques, The Zen Den will bring new meaning to the motivational quotes of Ted Lasso which will embrace your minds profoundly, in turn your outlook and mindset will undoubtedly change, as well as giving you new techniques to aid in your daily interactions.
At your age, you may be left wondering what to do now, when things are not going smoothly at school, with friends and family or when participating in after school activities. Being a teen isn't an easy job for sure. During this meditation workshop, through lively discussions, music, videos and meditations written by The Zen Den, you will be taught simple, day to day techniques that you can use to bring a wave of ease to your own emotions in order to find comfort in your own self. Dress super comfy and get ready to relax.
Social Media--Self Image
Social media can lead people to give out a false impression of what is really going on in their lives. This can lead to negative self-esteem, poor self image, worthless, bad health habits, affects emotions, creates friendship issues, nothing is sacred, dangerous, not being in the present moment are affected and inappropriate social skills. 70% of children and teens use social media websites. The Zen Den will utilize methods of meditation to boost positive self worth.
Through breathing and meditation techniques, participants will learn how to maintain a sense of peacefulness within themselves to add a new dimension to their interactions with those around them.
