Project description:

In densely populated urban environments, the rapid and efficient passage of emergency vehicles, such as ambulances, is paramount to saving lives.  This project implements a smart traffic management system using an ESP8266 microcontroller to control traffic lights for four lanes. The system integrates mobile-based ambulance detection, allowing ambulance drivers to trigger priority green signal access through a mobile application.

In urban areas, rapid emergency response times are critical for saving lives. This system addresses this need by enabling ambulance drivers to initiate priority access via a mobile app. Upon activation, the ESP8266 microcontroller detects the ambulance request and promptly grants green signal priority to the ambulance's lane, facilitating uninterrupted passage through the intersection.

By leveraging mobile technology, the project enhances emergency response efficiency by minimizing ambulance response times in navigating traffic. This capability reduces crucial moments in transporting patients to medical facilities, potentially saving lives during medical emergencies.

The ESP8266 microcontroller manages traffic flow seamlessly, ensuring minimal disruption to regular traffic while prioritizing emergency vehicles based on real-time mobile alerts. The project exemplifies the synergy between embedded systems and mobile integration in optimizing traffic management and expediting emergency responses.
