We meet usually on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at the Den 7pm
A very busy start to the year.
We had a huge Open day which saw 46 new families come and see what Scouting was all about
We presented our Local State Member of Parliament Jonty Bush with a Qld Scout Scarf in a Scarfing up ceremony
Landscaping Drainage work has been completed on the Southern side of our Den to prevent further flooding issues
Recycling bin has been relocated to the Eastern end of the Den. Please continue to support this fundraiser.

Face to Face Scouting will return in Term 3, 2020
Our Den has received compliance approval to restart face to face scouting from Qld Branch
CareMonkey is here and our group will now be working within this platform for permission forms etc
Our new awning has been installed at the entrance to the den. Thanks to Grants from the Brisbane City Council and Gambling Community Benefit Scheme.
Scout Recycling Bin is now operational at our den. We are now able to accept donations of recycled bottles from the public.

Brisbane City Council Grant and Gambling Community Benefit Scheme both provided funds for new awning, replacement of Venturer and Rover den roof and clean and refurbishment of entire den roof

Caremonkey is coming to our Group. This is going to ease some of the workload on our leaders with paperwork and also give us up to date medical information in the palm of our hand in the case of an emergency.
Works by Brisbane City Council have now been completed at the den and it is looking new and shiny ready for the Scouts to return.
We were successful in receiving the Active Clubs Grant and have purchased some new equipment, hiking tents and compasses to support our youth programs.

We have welcomed in our New Chairperson to our Group Committee Meike Hamilton. Wish our outgoing Chairperson, Chris Parker all the best and a big BRAVO for all you did during your time in this role.
Our application for a Brisbane City Council grant for repair and replacement of den roof has been successful with $12 100.00 coming towards this project. A huge THANK YOU to Colette Landolt for all the work she has put into the Grant application process.
The roof over the Venturer and Rover parts of our den have now been replaced.
The rest of the roof on the den has been pressure cleaned, repointed and painted and is now looking all shiny and new.
Treasurer Wanted! Our Group Committee needs a Treasurer. Our accounts are set up through Xero which is easy to learn. There’s lots of ongoing support as our current acting Treasurer is able to help support the right person into this role. Please speak to Meike or Veronica if this might be YOU!
