Our main purpose as a unit is to provide Armoured Cavalry support to a Battlegroup setting. Sometimes this is will be UN, NATO or Canadian Battlegroups, but the purpose remains the same - conduct mounted maneuvers along the battlespace, engaging enemy, denying them freedom of maneuver in the same battlespace, fixing enemy units in place to allow for follow-on forces to engage and destroy them. Sometimes this will be conducting screens, reconnaissance or security tasks. Often as the tip of the spear we will be engaging and destroying the enemy.
