A Squadron

An armoured medium cavalry squadron is made up of four fighting troops, and includes a forward and rear headquarters element capable of fighting sustained for days without support. The objective of the armoured cavalry squadron is to advance and contact with the enemy, then push past and allow friendly forces to occupy ground taken by the squadron.

D Squadron

The fourth Squadron of the armoured cavalry regiment is the Combat Support Squadron, and includes a Recce Troop, Mortar Troop, Assault Troop and CUAS Troop. These Troops provide Regimental Combat Support to the whole of unit, and often work alongside the forward fighting squadrons. It also has a robust echelon support in place to supply and sustain all these specialty roles.

Part-time members or long-term absences will be placed in Reserves. Members placed here are welcome to attend when possible, and when their schedules allow can return to full activity in a crew or section.
