This section focuses on gear and pulley systems. The emphasis is on practical classroom resources and the detailed examination of mechanical systems including spur gears, compound gears, rack and pinion and worm gears. Gear ratios, rpm and calculations relating to gears and pulley systems are explained and demonstrated, through worked examples and examination questions.
