Art Movements and Designers

Studying Art Movements and Designers in Design and Technology, helps students understand how cultural, historical and social influences shape design. It encourages learners to explore diverse styles, philosophies and innovations - from Bauhaus to Biomimicry, developing a richer visual vocabulary and critical awareness. By analysing the work of influential designers, students gain insight into aesthetics, function and user experience, inspiring their own creative decisions. This knowledge fosters originality, contextual thinking and the ability to design with purpose and meaning.
