The Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand are focuses on developing communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of society, culture, and human behavior. It prepares students for careers in education, public service, communication, psychology, and other people-centered professions by strengthening their ability to analyze issues, express ideas, and engage with the community. As Section Courage, we embody the true meaning of our name by showing bravery in sharing our voices, standing for our beliefs, and supporting one another through every challenge. The Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand is an academic track designed for students who are interested in understanding human behavior, culture, society, and social institutions. This strand focuses on subjects such as literature, philosophy, politics, sociology, psychology, communication, and research. Through these disciplines, students develop strong critical thinking, analytical, communication, and writing skills that help them interpret social issues and contribute meaningful solutions.

HUMSS prepares students for college courses and careers in fields such as education, law, political science, public administration, journalism, social work, psychology, international relations, and other people-centered professions.
