An AI is more then simply a machine that can learn it is able to do tasks that would normally take a human hours of tiring work, helping so that that person can focus on something else than an AI could not do such as maybe do the physical repair of an aircraft. (1) By going through all the information the AI can potently identify a location of interest where illegal activities are taking place.

Logistics

With an AI the organization of an entire fleet can be organized to its max, meaning that it can maximize the personal on board to get the most work done. It also has more disposables than simply organizing people it is able to check all the sensors of an aircraft in order to determine if any maintenance has to be done(1). This can be very beneficial as now the planes do not always need maintenance work or the hours needed to look over a plane as the AI will be able to detect any faults in the plane after or during a flight (1).

Autonomous vehicles

By having an AI integrated into a system such as a drone it can go and complete a task all on its own. resulting in that if conditions for the given task change it is able to adapt to the new conditions, in order to complete a task. Compared to before where a person would have to go and risk their life in order to get data a robot is now able to do the same task (1).
