Chapter 3: Network Communications

The movie doesn't focus on network communications as a theme but it does touch on the security of network communications and who can be trusted or how a system is protected. The movie focuses on external influences of networks instead of internal ones. It also doesn't mention in any way how people deal with the different types of neural networks, such as the internet. The close interpretation of the chapter would be how the T-X easily accessed the police database in order to locate its targets but this is more of a security issue.

Chapter 4: Intellectual Property

The movie is an action movie, in that it is a race against time and it comes down to the wire of if the world is going to be saved or if it ill be destroyed. In the end the world does start to be destroyed and a lot of lives are lost. However there is nothing in the movie that has to deal with property because of all the action. All the company's and logo are all made and are all set and there is not battle over who owns what. As the government is the one the owns Skynet; as for the terminators, their property right come into question as the viewer is already aware they come the future where it is just Skynet that rules.

Chapter 5: Information Privacy

Throughout the film we are shown how crucial it is for personal information to be kept private and the things that can be done with it. The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is able to give John Connor information about anyone that he asks about. On the other hand T-X is able to recognize who her target is from data configured before travelling through time. This shows some of the flaws with mass surveillance and

Chapter 6: Privacy and the Government

We are repeatedly shown throughout the movie the issues with the government's ability to track and store information about people. Throughout the film, the T-X would easily look up information about her targets; every time she had missing information about somebody, she simply used the police database and instantly had their address, picture, and all of their other information.

Chapter 7: Computer and Network Security

The was the most relevant chapter to the movie since the movie really shows just what can happen when a security system fails or when people think their creation is better and stronger than anything out in the world. As the general was some what sure that his creation could beat the virus that is currently impacting multiple military bases. But it also shows that giving 100% access of the military to an AI. Having an AI run the military can make it more efficient and stronger, but with the movie it also shows that it can have dooming consequences if the system works against its program.

Chapter 8: Computer Reliability

This some what relates to the movie since it shows how a computer as amazing as it can be can still have faults. Like the fact that in the movie Skynet was thought as the most advanced system that could could do anything. However the virus was able to take over Skynet, Showing computer system thought as the most powerful and the most reliable was able to be taken over.

Chapter 10: Work and Wealth

The movie did not have any major parts involving work relations, but it did have one part where the general and the director was demanding Skynet be released even though the general was uncertain if it should really fight off the virus. Meaning that in the work area the boss rules no matter what even if it seems like a bad idea leading to bad work environment.
