Workspace basics
Application Bar
Top of the window beside the Help menu
Allows to set document zoom level and guide settings
Allows to tile multiple windows vertically and horizontally
Control Panel
Allows user to change properties such as:
text formatting, color fill, and other contextually dependent functions
Toolbar
Usually on the left of the main workspace
Contains all InDesign Tools such as:
Selection tools
Text Tools
Eyedropper
Move Tools
Other Tools
Panel Bar
To the right of the workspace
Depending on what is opened in the workspace will change what you see displayed on the panel
Working with Indesign:
Export to PDF
File > Export
Select location to save
Enter name
Choose desired PDF Format
Save
Under Pages: Select All or Range
Select Pages: Single or Spreads
Recommended Options:
Optimize for Fast Web View
Create Tagged PDF
View PDF after Export
Resizing Content in Frame
Start with selecting Direct Selection tool (A)
Click on Graphic Frame
Use shortcut:
For Mac: Command-Option-Shift-E
For PC: Control-Alt-Shift-E
This shortcut will fit the content
***Can also right click on the graphic > Fitting > select choice
