Use this document to have students select a variety of poems for a poetry battle. These categories can be changed to whatever fits your needs. One suggestion may be to change the categories to types of poetry (e.g. acrostic, free verse, haiku, and limerick).
When students have selected their poems, they will share them with their group. Use the following document to continue this activity.
