Use Google Drawings to create and collaborate and work together in real time to create flowcharts, organizational charts, website wireframes, mind maps, concept maps, other types of diagrams and as a white board.
Google Drawings is not just a stand-alone app within the Google-verse, it is also available in the insert menu of Google Docs, Sheets and Slides (via web clipboard), allowing you to create and insert drawings on the fly and tweak them inline.
Learning Opportunities:
You have two options when creating a Google Drawing.
Option 1: Create & edit via a stand alone drawing
Option 2: Create & edit within a Google Doc / Sheet
Or you can create a new drawing while you are working within another Google application by going to the "File" > "New" menu
This will create a stand-alone drawing file that will live in your Drive.
Within a Document or Sheet go to "Insert" > "Drawing"
This will create an embedded Google Drawing that lives in your document.
This will create a drawing that is embedded within your document, double-click to go back in to edit it.
The interface will look slightly different for a stand-alone drawing and an embedded drawing but you can do the same things in each.
The stand-alone drawing will have additional functionality that is not available in the embedded drawing. Such as the ability to insert a diagram, or insert a chart from a Google Sheet.
