One of Google's Chrome's flagship features is the Chrome Profile which allows you to sign into the Chrome browser with your Google account and sync your history, bookmarks, apps, and extensions across multiple computers.
This system lets you use different Chrome profiles simultaneously, thus enabling you to use different bookmarks, have separate extensions, plug-ins, and anything else you can assign to it.
With profiles, you can keep all your Chrome info separate, like bookmarks, history, passwords, extensions and other settings.
Profiles are ideal for:
Your bookmarks and extensions are available on any machine where you sign into Google Chrome when you use profiles.
Set up a profile by clicking on the person icon in the upper-right hand corner of the Google Chrome browser. Then click the "Sign in to Chrome" button.
Alternatively you can click the "Sign In" button on the screen if that shows up for you.
Sign-in with your Wildwood email and password and click "Ok, Got it" button. If it asks you to link data, click YES!!
Your profile will now show up in the upper righthand corner. Click into the account to customize the profile name and the profile account.
You can then switch between profiles easily and keep your different accounts separate.
You avoid the problem of being logged in to the wrong account and of having to sign out of everything to proceed and you have two separate browser sessions running. Even your tabs, etc. can be separated also.
Click into the profile name in the upper righthand of the browser and then click "Manage People".
Here you will put in the name of the other account (you can name this whatever you would like) and log-in with the same process as above.
Now you can switch between your different accounts using the profiles functionality.
You can have separate profiles for your work and personal account running at the same time!
