About

Team 2657, known as Team Thundercats, emerged in 2008 within the dynamic landscape of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Founded by a group of passionate high school students, and a dedicated coach, Team Thundercats embarked on a journey fueled by innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Since its inception, Team Thundercats has been a stalwart participant in the FRC, an international platform where teams from across the globe converge to design, build, and compete with robots tailored for each year's unique challenge. Within this realm of technological prowess and spirited competition, Team Thundercats found its footing, embracing the core values of "Gracious Professionalism" and "Coopertition" championed by the FRC community.

Throughout the years, Team Thundercats has learned many skills across the FRC landscape, and have been able raise the bar of excellence on the team. They have tackled a myriad of challenges, from scoring balls into goals to hanging on bars and balancing robots on balance beams. Each season brought forth new obstacles to overcome, new technologies to master, and new friendships to forge.

In 2019  Team Thundercats joined FIRST in Texas and participated in Plano, Texas and the FIT District Amarillo event.  The team was abot to earn a record of 12-6 and was selected to participate in the #1 alliance.  We won the alliance with Team 3310 Black Hawk Robotics and team 148 Robowranglers.  This was the first win for our team and we were selected to participate in the Texas District Championship.  We enjoyed the experience, and this was our first and only win since we have participated starting in 2008.

With each passing season, Team Thundercats reaffirms their commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence. Our journey exemplifies the transformative power of the FIRST Robotics Competition, where students become innovators, leaders, and agents of change in a world driven by science and technology.
