Craftsmen's Market, as the name suggests, is a collection of craft stores. Authentic craftsmen from Central Florida are cast as Roman merchants, creating their wares in view of guests. Items sold include everything from pots and pans to carvings of the classic Roman gods. There are three primary vendors: the Blacksmiths, the Carvers, and the Jewelers. All have wares both ceremonial and practical, depending on guest needs.
The U.S.F. has developed hand mirrors to harness the powers attributed to the Roman gods. On magical leyline points of Ancient Rome, these mirrors can channel that energy with a recitation of various phrases (such as "Rome wasn't built in a day") and a wave, triggering interactive elements in the land. 12 styles of mirrors are available, chosen for guests by a quiz to see which of the classic Roman gods they have the most similarities to. Guests can also choose limited-time special mirrors designed by top U.S.F. scientists. This shop also sells replica Roman souvenirs and general retail, including a secret backroom (accessed through a password found on the Universal Orlando Resort app, although there is an alternative way to reach it). In the backroom, guests will find "anachronistic" Back to the Future merchandise available for purchase.
The Romans were fascinated by what lied above them in the sky at night. With the natural eye, they could visualize bodies in the sky and named them after Roman gods of the day. The sun (sol), the moon (luna), and 5 planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter. In this antiquated cosmos shop, guests can find detailed maps of the stars, constellations in the sky, and books/novels written from the ancient times that describes the visuals that these ancient Romans were looking at.
