The U.S.F. Club is the latest signature dining location at Universal Studios. "Steampunk," a style incorporating technology and design with an emphasis on industrial steam-powered contraptions from the 1800s, is used heavily in the theming of this restaurant. The Steampunk details are overlayed on top of a basic Roman building, and the contrasting architectural elements of the two styles mix. Above the entrance to the club is the U.S.F. logo.
Inside, the club continues this Roman Steampunk style, but with a cozier, more comfortable feeling to it. Portraits of Roman members of the U.S.F. can be found on the walls. Table seating and bar seating are available.
The defining feature of the U.S.F. Club is the presence of U.S.F. members themselves. These acting Team Members being life to the establishment and add fun to the dining. Cassius Gaius, Aggripa Quintus, and Marcellus Tiberius; the founders of the U.S.F.; can be found here, as can other lesser-known members of the early days of the society.
In keeping with its popular predecessor (Lombard's Seafood Grille), food served at the U.S.F. Club includes a mix of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, soups, and entrees. Appetizers are about $10 and feature options like fried calamari, shrimp cocktail, and spinach artichoke dip. Lombard’s soups are great for lunch and you can choose between traditional minestrone or lobster bisque. For sandwiches, options include a lobster roll, a crab cake sandwich, and a Caprese sandwich. As for salads, the cobb salad (which includes blue cheese, a hard-boiled egg, mixed greens, bacon crumbles, and avocado) is popular. There is also grilled salmon salad, chop salad, Caesar salad, and chicken salad available. Entrees range from $12.99 to $24.99 and feature everything from ravioli to sirloin steak. Shrimp gnocchi, chicken sweet potato risotto, lobster Mac & cheese, and pasta carbonara help round out the entree menu.
Located in the same area as Craftsmen's Market, Forum Flavors is a grab-and-go bakery. This location specializes in stone-oven-baked pizza by the slice, sold in rectangular slices. Food can be easily eaten while browsing the market or on an alfresco terrace of picnic tables near The Gladiator. Forum Flavors also offers fresh Italian sandwiches on focaccia; cornettos, Italian-style croissants filled with apricot jam or chocolate; the maritozzo, a palm-size loaf of sweetened bread split open and filled with whipped cream; and fresh coffee, espresso, sparkling water, or wine to wash down all that savory and sweet magnificence. Pizza may seem like a curious choice for Ancient Rome, but the U.S.F. can't hide all their time-traveling tracks!
Who doesn't love a big cup of creamy gelato? The gelato shop in Ancient Rome has a bumper crop of flavors, many of the ones that are very popular in Rome itself, such as Chocolate al Rosmarino (Chocolate and Rosemary), Chocolate Hazelnut, Tiramisu, Wild Strawberry, and Lemon. Gelato is another future specialty that the U.S.F. has brought to the past.
