Colosseum Stunt Show

In the center of Ancient Rome is a smaller-scale re-creation of the classic colosseum, straight out of the days of Julius Caesar! Built out of limestone and concrete, the Colosseum at Universal Studios Florida hosts a fantastic stunt show based on the sort of shows Romans would flock to the colosseum to see, such as gladiators dueling, ferocious lions snarling, and chariots racing around the amphitheater. Unlike in an actual Roman colosseum, however, the gladiators here are stuntmen, and the lions are advanced life-like animatronics. Also, unlike some of the original gladiator battles, all of the gladiators survive these games. The family show lasts about 20 minutes and is repeated several times throughout the day. The Universal Studios Florida Colosseum also comes with shaded seating for guests--a great improvement over the original ancient colosseum!
