Team 4121 members are always looking for ways to help serve our community and teach people about FIRST’s values. For the first time ever, a FIRST Lego League (FLL) tournament was held in North Canton in 2016, entirely set up and run by our robotics team. We held an even bigger FLL tournament in December 2017, inviting 20 teams to compete at our high school's campus. We do demonstrations of our robot at FIRST Jr. Lego League events near us as well, allowing potential FRC members get a feel for what may be coming in their futures. Our main outreach projects have been centered around doing robot demonstrations to show younger kids and the community what it is we do and how we spread the message of FIRST.
To get more people involved in FIRST, we spread the word of what we do in many formats. We have created posters on our wide-format printer. We have appeared on local TV news, have been on the front page of our local newspaper and advertise on the daily school announcements.
If you are a FIRST team looking for help or assistance, contact our team! We are more than willing to lend a hand to fellow FRC teams or mentor FLL teams.
