Armed with a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Baltimore (2016) and a Master's in Education from Johns Hopkins University (2019), her academic foundation has been integral. Since 2018, she has been actively molding young minds as an esteemed educator.

Her historical insight has profoundly influenced her approach, encapsulated in the belief that "you must know where you've been to know where you're going." This ideology resonates in her impactful work within Baltimore City Schools since 2016, alongside her roles in nonprofit work.

In 2021, Chanel established TEAM WE, a non-profit championing holistic learning experiences, with a focus on wellness. Rooted in restorative practices, her mission is to equip students of color with indispensable skills, fortifying their journey to success in any sphere.
