Assessment for large classes

When it comes to assessment for large classes, whether online for face to face, using digital tools for assessment can really make grading quizzes much easier. For synchronous classes I use Socrative which allows me to create multiple choice quizzes for students. The beauty of such quizzes is that they can auto-grade themselves which means two things.

• teachers don't have to grade stacks of papers manually

• students know their scores in a matter of seconds rather than days
