1. We can classify various materials by their:

a. Density

b. Melting point and boiling point.

c. Solubility

2. Density is mass per unit volume of the material.

3. Lower density will float, higher density will sink.

4. Melting point is the temperature when solid change to liquid.

5. Boiling point is the temperature when liquid change to gas.

6. Different materials have different melting point and boiling point.

7. Solubility is an ability of a substance to dissolve in a solvent to form a solution.
