Reproduction is a process of formation of new individual by living organism.
Two kinds of reproductions:
a. Sexual - involve reproductive cell (sperms or ovum)
b. Asexual - Do not involve reproductive cell (sperms or ovum)
Sexual reproduction happens to human, animals, plants.
There are five kinds of asexual method:
a. Budding
b. Spore formation
c. Vegetative reproduction
d. Binary fission
e. Regeneration
Sexual reproduction is involved 2 parents (male and female):
a. Internal fertilisation - fertilisation (fusion of male and female gametes) inside the body.
b. External fertilisation - fertilisation occurs outside the body, normally is in water.
The methods of asexual reproduction are shown in below:
Asexual Reproduction Methods
Spores are spread by the wind to a new place.
Example: mucor, fern, and algae.
Fragments of the organism's body and develops into new individuals.
Example: flatworm and planaria
Division of one parent cell into two daughter cells.
Example: Amoeba, Paramecium and bacteria
Bud grows and breaks off to form new individual.
Example: Hydra and yeast
