4.4 Fertilisation and Pregnancy

Sperms will swim towards vagina during copulation.

If ovum presence in Fallopian tube, fertilisation might occur.

Fertilisation will produce zygote at Fallopian tube.

After fertilisation, zygote divides into a ball of cells (embryo). Embryo will implantation the uterine wall at the uterus.

The implanted embryo will grow and become a foetus, and eventually turns into a baby. This process is called pregnancy.

The time taken to deliver a baby is about 38 weeks.
