Recently the junior cadets started working on building hot air balloons to study the four elements of flight which is gravity, lift, thrust, and drag. In about a few days or so they are going to start launching them and seeing how they fly in the elements.
The parachute drop project is made to make junior cadets design and create a harness and basket system to create drag to slow down the egg so when dropped it has minimal to no damage. While making the parachutes the cadets had to also make sure that they had a breathing hole so they don't smother the egg.
The junior cadets have started building their wright flyers while learning about the different parts of an aircraft and how they work. As they work hard to build their glider they have to make sure that their glider is put together right and has the ability to glide through the air.
