Lieutenant Colonel John M. Miller, USAF (Ret.)
Lieutenant Colonel John Miller began as the Trumbull Career and Technical Center’s Air Force Junior ROTC Senior Aerospace Science instructor in August of 2005.
Lieutenant Colonel John Miller retired from the United States Air Force in September of 2005 after serving over 21 ½ years. He began his Air Force career after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh and completing Officer’s Training School at Lackland AFB’s Medina Annex in San Antonio, Texas. During his career, Lieutenant Colonel Miller was stationed throughout the United States while serving in positions of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) operator, evaluator and flight commander at Malmstrom AFB, Montana and Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. Additionally, he served as the ICBM requirements officer with the United States Strategic Command at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. He also served two tours of duty with the Air Force Recruiting Service, first as an operations officer for the 313th Recruiting Squadron (RS) in Syracuse, NY, where he earned his Master of Science degree, and later in his career as squadron commander of the 362nd RS located at March ARB, CA. He concluded his Air Force career as the Professor of Aerospace Studies with Air Force ROTC Detachment 665 at the University of Cincinnati.
Chief Master Sergeant Renee L. Noel, USAF (Ret.)
Chief Master Renee Noel retired from the United States Air Force in May 2021 after serving 35 years in Security Forces. She began her military career following graduating from Mineral Ridge High School. While stationed in Texas, California, Ohio, and Georgia she traveled and deployed throughout the United States and various countries. Chief Noel’s responsibilities included Squadron level Security Police Journeyman, Fire Team Leader, Supply, Mobility, and Training NCOIC, and Anti-terrorism Force Protection and Physical Security Manager. While serving at a Major Command; Superintendent of Antiterrorism Force Protection, Physical Security & Police Services, Contingency, and Readiness Plans, and finished her career as the MAJCOM’s Chief of Resources. Her education includes two Associate Degrees from the Community College of the Air Force and Youngstown State University. Also earned a Baccalaureate Degree and a Master’s Degree from Youngstown State University. Chief Noel’s professionalism and service awarded her the Meritorious Service Medal, AF Commendation Medal, AF Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, AF Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Global War on Terrorism, Expeditionary Medal Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, AF Longevity Service, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, USAF NCO Graduate Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and AF Training Ribbon. One of her most memorable moments includes meeting the 43 rd President George W. Bush and protecting Air Force One during his visit to Ohio.
