Drill: Drill is a way for an Air-Force JROTC unit/cadets to better skills. It teaches disciple, commitment, and courage in commanding a flight, and acting as a participant in the drill sequence. Practicing drill also prepares for cadets to lead the 30 Step Drill Sequence.
Competition: Competition can be done with rifles, sabers, flags, or a flight. There are many different types of competition, such as unarmed drill, armed drill, color guard, inspection,unarmed exhibition, and quiz bowl.
We do different fitness workouts like core, arms, legs,and cardio to get us ready monthly for the presidential fitness test (PFT)). The PFT consist of a 1 mile run, sit and reach, a shuttle run, push-ups, and sit-ups. After every PFT we have a fun day. The fun day consist of many games like football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, basketball, and many more!
Each grading period the cadets earn awards and ribbons. At the end of the year the unit holds a large End of Year Ceremony and National AFJROTC Awards are presented. Parents, guardians and members of the local Veteran's Organizations are invited to attend.
