P - Purpose
A - Audience
S - Subject
T - Text Type & Title

When writing an essay, choose arguments that develop distinct ideas. Some approaches overlap, so check that each paragraph adds something new rather than repeating the same point with different evidence.
As you work, ask: What does this argument add to my explanation? What perspective am I exploring within the text?
