Our Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday 5 November at Ross Village Bakery. It was great to meet face to face once again. Our intention had been to meet face to face early in 2022 but due to the continued spread of Covid, we felt it prudent to hold that meeting online. At this AGM we were delighted to be joined online by another member of TASME who wished to sit in on the meeting, as all members are welcome to do.
During the general meeting that followed, we discussed a number of matters including PL opportunities for 2023, commencing the nomination process for the Music Educating for Life Award (to be presented at the 2023 ASME National Conference in Sydney, NSW) and the possibility of providing some financial support for Tertiary students to attend the National Conference.
Please see our PL opportunities for 2023 page for details.
As you will see from the list below there have been a few changes within our committee. I would like to congratulate Peter Stewart as he steps into his new role as Vice Chair and Paul Radford as he steps out of the role of Chair and into the role of Treasurer. Thank you once again to our other members of committee who wish to continue serving the Tasmanian music education community.
