Tanishiqa is a multi-media artist and filmmaker originating from Punjab, India, currently living and making in so-called Vancouver as an international student. Her films are deeply personal reflections that engage in socio-cultural questions about community, identity and representation. Her most recent project, The Fool's Mule, won her the VIVO Distribution award in the 2026 Grad show at Emily Carr University. She also has a keen interest in 16mm experimental Analog film practices.
