Tanishiqa is an emerging multi-media artist and filmmaker originating from Punjab, India. Her films are deeply personal reflections engaging on socio-cultural questions around immigration, community, and representation, drawing on her experiences and observations as an international student in Canada.  Her most recent project, The Fool's Mule, won her the VIVO Distribution award in the 2026 Grad show at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she has recently graduated from. She also has a keen interest in 16mm experimental Analog film practices.
