Conclusion 

The dramatic conclusion of Disney's Tangled takes place in the hidden tower, where Mother Gothel chains Rapunzeland fatally stabs Eugene (Flynn Rider) when he arrives for a rescue attempt. Willing to sacrifice her freedom to save his life, Rapunzel agrees to submit to Gothel forever if she is allowed to heal him first, but a dying Eugene thwarts the deal by using a sharp shard of glass to cut off her 70-foot golden hair. Instantly stripped of its youth-restoring magic, the hair turns brown, causing a horrified Gothel to rapidly age into dust and fall out of the tower window.
