Characters Overview 

Disney's Tangled follows Rapunzel, a spirited princess with 70 feet of magical, youth-restoring hair, who has spent her entire life locked in a hidden tower by the manipulative Mother Gothel, a villain exploiting the hair's magic to stay young. Rapunzel's quiet life changes when she captures Flynn Rider (Eugene Fitzherbert), a charming thief who stumbles into her tower while fleeing royal guards and his vengeful former partners, the Stabbington Brothers. Accompanied by her fiercely protective pet chameleon Pascal and the palace's relentless, dog-like guard horse Maximus, Rapunzel strikes a deal with Flynn to act as her guide to the kingdom of Corona so she can finally see the annual floating lanterns, a tradition kept alive by her grieving parents, King Frederic and Queen Arianna. Along the way, the duo finds unexpected allies in a colorful group of pub thugs at the Snuggly Duckling, including the musically inclined Hook Handand the romantic Big Nose, who help the couple evade Gothel's traps and discover Rapunzel's true royal identity.
