The Hex Game

project summary

This is the Mountain Lakes Public Library Makerspace most developed tactile and accessible resource. This student team has been developing their Hex Game since September 2019.

The Hex Game is an accessible marble run and puzzle game that allows visually impaired kids and their sighted friends and family members to create their own multilevel tracks. Create an artistic design, tell a story, or race a marble down the "Giver" slide! The Hex Game has received much feedback from a diverse group of kids and adults and is ready to be played!

The Hex Game in the News! The Hex Game won a $750 grant to produce ten game sets for St. Joseph's School for the Blind. These sets will be printed in April 2021. Previously, we had received much great feedback from St. Joseph's students and delivered three sets before the holidays. Read more about our growing partnership.
