Universal 3d Print Settings Project

To achieve our primary goals of providing 3d design files that can be printed by anyone with a standard FDM 3d printer, it is important to know what the starting user print settings should be.

To achieve this goal we are working with our partners to develop an app to create a standard and universal FDM 3d print setting form. This will provide much needed guidance for people as they print resources they have never printed before. [Sometimes it is just nice to know, "Did the original designer intend this be printed with supports"? or "Does this really take 10 hours to print"?]

Below is a sample file of print settings for Tactile DNA. As more people print resources it would be fantastic if they completed their own 3d print settings form, creating a much needed functional database for print settings by project. Print settings can be different by users for many reasons, including different printer brand / type or filament brand. Knowing this information will be very helpful to breakdown initial 3dprint anxiety for many new and intermediate printers.
