Seven bridges of konigsberg

project summary

The student designer is an avid math fan and developed a tactile version of the four hundred year old conundrum: When you are in Konigsberg, can you walk on each piece of the city by walking over each of the seven bridges just once?

This simple and elegant design, allows the Konigsberg traveler to test out their hypothesis.

View of 3d printed Konigsberg. There are two outer roads that each connect with two separate middle islands. There are two bridges connecting from each road to the bigger middle island. There is one bridge connecting each road to the smaller middle island. Additionally there is one bridge that connects the two islands. Each bridge has a hole in it for pegs to fit into.
