These are the most nostalgic places I have had that always give me good memories of my battle to increase my intelligence and grow to know more and have a lot of great experiences. I have learned a lot while attending these schools and met plenty of great people along the way. These places will always have a place in my heart cause without them I don't know if I would ever have had such amazing teachers who always would give me extra help on homework or my tutor who helped me learn everything I have and helped me improve my English.
This is the house I am living in right now and where I have lived since, I started going to school. When I lived in Burbank I went to preschool and kindergarten, but the teacher also spoke Polish, so I didn’t really have much issues there. My parents decided to move to this house since it was a bigger place and in a pretty nice neighborhood. I prefer the old place we use to live in but I definitely have had plenty of academic growth where I am now and all these places have are all important places to me since I have grown a lot intelligence wise since I have had to spent a lot of time learning and also have grown a lot since I moved here when I was at a very young age. I am happy that my younger sibling has gone or are still going to these schools and hope that they also grow a lot mentally from all these school if its academically or socially. All these places always give me a good feeling, and all bring back every experience that are always going to quite important to me.
This is Chippewa Elementary School where I went through 1st grade to 3rd grade. When I was attending at this school, I spent a lot of time during my first and second grades in a little classroom with an ELL teacher because I didn’t speak English when I was younger. Even though I didn’t speak any English they still had me go to the regular classroom and do all the activities and all the assignment even if I failed everything dramatically at first. I did good in math due to it being the same in every single language. It also was just basic addition and subtraction, so it wasn’t anything hard to learn. I spent a lot of time in this school learning a new language which was English and now it is my primary language. Once I was in third grade, I finally got a good understanding in the English language and it really boosted my grades and social skills since I rarely talked to people. I experienced a lot of growth when I went to school here because I learned an entirely new language and was able to do more in regular classes. Most people would look at this school and just look at it as only that nothing more just a regular elementary school but just remember all the tough times I had academically. I also spent a lot of time in extracurriculars which can also be seen in the picture up above. The faculty always had lots of things planned for every type of celebration to liven things up in my education.
This is the second school that I attended when I was younger which is called Navajo Middle School. I was only here for my fourth and fifth grade, so I did not really gain any social growth since I barley had activities that involved communication with other students. But I definitely grew intelligence wise because I start to see a super dramatic increase in my grades to A’s and B’s instead of the low C’s and D’s that I was scoring in. I also spent a lot of time in the library during recess or lunch to keep up with certain classes such as science and math. My time at this Navajo Elementary was short lived because I only went here for a pretty short time. A lot of the time I spent in this school was learning grammar and expanding my vocabulary. I also was more active when it came to sports but broke my ankle and was not able to participate There was a day every year where all faculty had all the students in the school play team sports together all day. When I see this school I definitely remember having some good times here but it was more based off the fact that I learned a lot here like how I join the schools band and learned how to play an instrument which was definitely a new experience and was a lot of fun.
At Independence Junior High School where I went through my sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. In which was when I really started increase my time spent in academics and also became closer to some of the people, I am still really close with. Two of the people I became closest too both have left and have gone into the military. But the people I became friends with definitely were a huge help when I came to things, I had a hard time learning in school especially in some of my classes since they’d help me understand the certain topics better or in more detail. Or if I missed a day of school, they’d give me all the notes I missed, and also would give me the homework and remind me that a due date on an assignment is coming up. I also meet a lot of other people in the neighborhood since they’ve lived here since they’ve lived in Palos all their lives. I had a lot of support from my friends and people I have met when I started to lose motivation and would let my grades slip a little bit. I didn’t learn as much here academically, but I definitely have learned a lot from my friends and made me work hard to do good in class and make me overachieve to earn good grades. So, these places bring back many things that I enjoyed doing and have improved who I am. This is a picture from after our graduation every year the student throw there hats at the end and a picture is taken and as a little proof of our hard work.
In high school I definitely have grown the most because I was also participating in a lot of extracurriculars such as football, wrestling, and track. I definitely enjoyed being in all these sports because I have always liked to work out. But being part of a team definitely made working out more enjoyable because I not only had someone to sport me once I started to move extremely heavy weight but I grow be friend with people on the teams and they would always push me to work my hardest even if were too tired to move. I also started out high school with really challenging classes since I was moved up to the honors level for a couple subjects. The most difficulty I had in school was the subject math, but I definitely had to go to the tutoring center fairly often. I also was granted approval to be in advanced placement classes during my last year which was a huge step since they were very hard and challenging classes. I stopped play sports because it was hard to keep up with all the class work and participate in all the sports. The school has gotten a bad reputation due to some of the issues they have had to deal with in the past but I really enjoyed going to the school and it also was a good experience for me because the people I have met and spent time around have definitely shaped me into who I have become. I definitely remember all the good times I have had when I pass by.
