Math

This month we are finishing Unit 10, Data and graphing , and moving into probability. We have spent time interpreting data, collecting data, and making our own graphs in class.

Reading

In Reading, we are finishing up our research unit by learning more about diagrams, life cycles, glossaries and Bibliographies. In phonics, we will be reviewing unit 4 concepts such as prefixes and suffixes, synonyms and antonyms, and vowel combinations.

Writing

In writing, we are finishing our research unit by completing an animal in the zoo PBL. Students researched an animal they wanted to include in the zoo, with information about the animal, such as how it grows, its habitat and life cycle, where it comes from, diet, and classification. We will be sharing our findings and celebrating during the last week of school.

Health

In Health this week, we will be learning about ways to keep ourselves safe in different situations. We are learning about safety in and around water, outdoor sports and activities safety such as biking, riding scooters, and heat awareness while playing soccer and outdoor sports. We also are learning about car safety, such as wearing a seat belt, and staying in our seat.
