Our focus for this unit will be on:
Counting forward orally by ones from 0 to 100.
Identifying the number after, without counting, when given any number between 0 and 100 and identify the number before, without counting, when given any number between 1 and 10.
Count forward by tens to determine the total number of objects to 100.
In reading, we will be working on Unit 6: Learning about Print through Characters:
Readers interact with texts, empathizing with the characters and their struggles.
Readers follow characters, developing ideas about how and why their feelings change.
Readers explore whose perspectives are included and whose perspectives may be missing in text and illustrations.
In writing, we will be working on Unit 6: Personal Narratives:
Writers write a story (single event) across pages in both pictures and words.
Writers share and listen to each other’s personal stories.

c. examples of fast changes and slow changes as related to weather
d. slow changes occur over weeks, months, or seasons.
