SWAMP is a registered charity serving Pollok and the surrounding areas since 1996.
We exist to support local people through practical services, creative projects, and welcoming spaces.
Our mission is to build a stronger, more connected community where everyone belongs.
Established in 1996 Swamp is a forward-thinking community led development trust, a company limited by guarantee with charitable status and a SQA approved learning centre. We are managed by a board of directors, have 7 full-time members of staff, four part time members of staff and a database of over 40 creative sessional staff that support our services. we embrace the concept of inclusion through creation and actively practice innovation, enterprise and creativity alongside outstanding delivery, sound management and have a strong ethos of partnership working to bring about positive social change within communities. We have embedded our practice and principles in communities throughout Glasgow supporting the development and regeneration of local areas both in terms of economic development and social cohesion and are well known for our activities.
Over the years, we’ve expanded to include a pay-as-you-feel café, a vibrant food pantry, employability workshops, digital inclusion classes, and arts and music programs.
Our journey reflects the generosity and collaboration of volunteers, partners, and community members.
