It not only serves as a food-drive but also as a celebratory, reflective event for the non-profit organization Love A Sea Turtle (LAST) and the collaborative efforts of various partners, supporters, and community-members in service.
Over the years, Holidays of Hope has been a major contributor to the Sustainable Hunger Initiative's food-distribution impact, having supplied a total of 27,000+ pounds of food to families residing in food-desert areas.
Along with providing food-necessities, Holidays of Hope has provided 500+ bike donations, 200+ gifts, and collected $8,500 in funds for the non-profit organization LAST, allowing it to continue its impact in environmental conservation and supporting youth-led initiatives like the Sustainable Hunger Initiative.
In order to increase awareness about food-insecurity and inspire more action, the Sustainable Hunger Initiative leads efforts in increasing community and youth involvement.
Holidays of Hope thus celebrates the collaborative efforts of various partners and community-members in tackling food-insecurity and supporting youth-led service-projects. To ensure the event's success and the continuance of LAST and our Initiative, local stores and businesses have aided in our efforts by actively donating food-supplies, necessities for families, and event ticket-raffle prizes.
Months in advance to Holidays of Hope, the Founder leads canned-food drives throughout local schools and engages more community-members and youth in tackling food-insecurity together.
