At our conference, we prioritize creating an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for every participant. To ensure that everyone feels valued and safe, we have established a Code of Conduct that all attendees are expected to adhere to throughout the event.
Expectations for Behavior:
Harassment will not be accepted during the conference. Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or other personal characteristics. This also includes sexual images in public spaces, intentional intimidation, stalking, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
All communication should be professional and appropriate for an audience with diverse backgrounds. Sexual language, imagery, or any form of inappropriate content is unacceptable in any setting.
Treat all attendees with respect. Personal insults, derogatory comments, or behavior meant to belittle others will not be tolerated.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Harassment, including sexist, racist, or exclusionary remarks or jokes, is strictly prohibited.
Any participant found in violation of the Code of Conduct will be asked to comply immediately. Failure to do so may result in removal from the conference without a refund of the registration fee. We are committed to upholding the standards outlined in the IAU Code of Conduct.Â
