The SunVoice 5 < Apricus > - Online Audition Registration

Qualifying Criteria:

• Contestants can be of any ages, but must be the current student of any universities in Malaysia.

• The lyrics of performing songs must include at least 80% of Chinese or Chinese dialects. Any songs with contents of violence, sex, politics, discriminations, religions and other inappropriate contents are strictly prohibited.

• Contestants are forbidden to perform their originals. Contestants will be disqualified if violating this rule.

• Top 3 from previous The SunVoice will not be qualified to participate in The SunVoice 5. Instead, they may be invited to perform as special guests.

Registration Requirement:

• Contestants are required to fill in online registration form (Google Form) and upload the screenshot of registration payment details as well as their audition video into the form.

• Contestants are required to attach a formal picture of self (scale as 4:3) while filling up the personal information section in the form.

• The registration fee for students from Sunway University is RM10 while for students from other universities is RM15.

• Members from Sunway University Chinese Cultural Society (SUCCS) who participate in this competition will be able to collect a stamp.

Basic details:

• Contestants of Audition and Knockout Round of 32 are required to record a self-performance video.

• Contestants are required to dress demurely and appropriately. Appealing costumes including short pants, flip-flops and inappropriate apparels are not allowed.

• Video must be recorded in landscape form.

• Contestants are required to show their face in the video.

• Contestants are suggested to ensure that there is no external noise throughout the whole recording.

• Contestants are allowed to record the video by using smartphone, camera or computer.

• Video must be in MP4 format.

• Contestants are not allowed to edit the video. Video must be recorded in one shot.

• Contestants are only allowed to send one video for each competition stage.

• Contestants are required to rename the video file to the contestant's name and university’s name. (e.g. Ng Xiao Xiao - Sunway University)
