The word 'perso' is mainly derived from Italian term which means lost. This emphasizes on our theme, where envy will eventually destroy oneself that its genuineness can never be built. The 'n' is omitted as individuals start to ignore other aspects of themselves that lead to good prospect being neglected; whereas if an individual admires others and imitates others blindly, it will cause one to lose his/her own individuality, and this is where “nality” is omitted. Therefore, this multifaceted explanation reinforces the meaning that we would like our audience to associate with our theme, envy.

On 12th September 2017, SUCCS had organised an orientation day for new members and old members to participate. The purpose of this event was to let members know more about Chinese cultures as well as to meet new friends and current committees. Mini games and sharing session were conducted during that day. The committees had also invited former committees to share their stories and experiences. Refreshments were also provided on site.
