At Sunnies, we have always believed that food should do more than fill you up — it should fuel you, lift your mood, and be able to fit into real life. Our community of consumers and supporters proves that natural, organic snacks can be delicious, energizing, and easy to fit into all different people's lives. Here are some of their stories — from moms packing lunchboxes to athletes chasing sunrise miles.
"It's the only snack my kids will finish!" Stephanie, mother of 4
Stephanie used to spend almost the entire day coming up with new foods for her kids to try and actually eat.
“They’re chewy, not sticky, and my kids think the chocolate drizzle is dessert,” she laughs. “But I know they’re full of oats, seeds, and fruit — nothing harmful, not even pesticides on the produce, so I feel good about it.”
Now, she packs one bar for each of her kids (and a handful of granola for herself).
“It’s the first time I’ve found something we all agree on,” she says. “They’re healthy without tasting ‘healthy.’”
Her kids are being fed nutritious foods, and Stephanie is living her best life.
"I take it on the go and know I'm eating well" Walter, professional hiker
Walter hikes every weekend — rain or shine. He used to pack candy bars for quick energy, but always felt sluggish by mile six. When a friend handed him a Sunnies fruit leather and protein bite combo, everything changed.
“It’s real food. I get quick carbs from the fruit, protein from the bites, and it keeps me going longer,” he says.
“Plus, no melted mess or sugar crash halfway up the mountain.”
Now, Sunnies has become a part of his pre-hike ritual. He keeps a resealable bag of granola in his pack — a mix of oats, coconut, and cacao that powers him through rockey mountains and steep hills.
“You can tell when something’s made with care, it feels different — not just filler calories, but actual fuel.”- Walter
"Good, real energy for my busiest days" Lee, runner
Lee loves running, but also works a 9-5 in an office. He finds Sunnies snacks to be beneficial both in and out of the office.
“It’s light but energizing,” he says. “I can run without feeling weighed down, and it’s nice to know I’m feeding my body real nutrients.”
He keeps a jar of Sunnies granola in his office during the day and offers it to coworkers.
“People always ask what brand it is,” Lee laughs. “I tell them, ‘It’s my secret weapon for all my energy. Gets me through the day without crashing’”
"I used to only drink Alani Energy drinks- now I'm on another level" Natalie, weightlifter and fitness enthusiast
Natalie is learning more about nutrition on her health journey and wants to cut out all chemical-using, caffeine filled, addicting energy drinks.
“The protein bites are small enough to eat mid-run, and they don’t mess with my digestion,” she says.
“I finish workouts with steady energy now — no crash.”
She also credits the natural magnesium and iron in the nuts and cacao for keeping her recovery smoother.
“I used to think you needed processed stuff for endurance,” Natalie admits. “Now I know my body just wants real food.”
"Making a healthy habit easy" Sam, student
Sam admits he used to skip breakfast entirely — until mid-class hunger hit hard.
“I’d grab vending machine snacks, or just not eat breakfast at all with my classes starting so early, and then crash before my last lecture,” he says. “Now I keep Sunnies bars in my bag, and they actually tide me over, so I'm eating a breakfast I know will keep me full.”
He likes that the ingredients are all things he recognizes.
“It’s oats, fruit, protein — no corn syrup, no chemicals. I feel more focused, less weighed-down, and I don’t spend as much on random snacks I get at URMs.”
His favorite flavor? The cacao-date protein snack.
“Tastes like dessert but fuels like a meal,” he says. “That’s a win, and keeps me winning."
"They help me feel like my best self" Hudson, electrician
Hudson works during the mornings, but loves to dive into a good, healthy snack when he gets home.
“They align with everything I believe in: clean ingredients, organic sourcing, no added sugar, and sustainable packaging,” he says.
“I love showing people that you can nourish yourself and enjoy what you’re eating.”
Hudson even developed his own recipe using Sunnies granola as a base for homemade smoothie bowls.
“It’s like sunshine in food form,” he says. “Once you eat snacks that make you feel good, you can’t go back.”
